Scale Law, based in Antwerp with Brussels as a main base, is seeking an HR Generalist to join our HR team and work closely with the HR Manager. You will be proactive, solution-oriented and meticulous, thriving in a dynamic firm where no two days are the same.

Your fluency in Dutch and French, plus working knowledge of English, will support our cross-border client work and internal HR processes. You will support staff and solicitors through the entire employee lifecycle, help coordinate

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR experience abroad.
• Proactive, solution-oriented and organised.
• Dutch and French fluent; English working knowledge.
• Structured and accurate work style, even under pressure.
• Attention to detail in administrative tasks with timely execution.
• Experience in the legal sector is a major plus.
• Able to switch between tasks and priorities while keeping the big picture.

Responsabilités

• Report to the HR Manager and act as a daily contact for the team.
• Support staff and solicitors throughout the employee journey.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding: posting jobs, following up, welcoming new colleagues.
• Contribute ideas for employer branding and talent retention initiatives.
• Develop strategies to optimise processes with a focus on digitalisation.
• Draft employment contracts and social security documents.
• Support payroll processing and liaise with external partners.
• Monitor absences, time recording and social security compliance.
• Contribute to staff development and wellbeing initiatives.

As an HR Generalist, you’ll be a key figure within ourHR team and will work closely with our HR Manager.

You are naturally proactive and solution-oriented. Youhave strong communication skills and are organised and meticulous, even whenthings get busy. Your profile

• You have 3 to 5 years experience in abroad HR role.
• You take the initiative and think interms of solutions.
• You are equally at home with soft HR andhard HR.
• You work in a structured and accuratemanner, with an eye for detail, even under time pressure.
• You derive satisfaction from handlingadministrative files correctly and on time.
• You communicate fluently andprofessionally in Dutch and French and have a working knowledge of English.
• Experience within the legal sector is amajor plus.
• You switch effortlessly between diversetasks and priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What will you do?

• You will work closely with and report tothe HR Manager; you will also be one of the key points of contact for theteam’s day-to-day operations.
• You will support our staff andsolicitors throughout their entire employee journey.
• You will help coordinate the recruitmentand onboarding process: from publishing job vacancies and following up withcandidates to ensuring a warm welcome for new colleagues.
• You will actively contribute ideasregarding our employer branding and help drive initiatives to attract andretain talent.
• You will help develop strategies tooptimise our processes and policies, with a particular focus on digitalisation:from digital onboarding to smart, user-friendly tools that simplify day-to-daywork.
• You will draft employment contracts andsocial security documents, and ensure accurate and correct administrativefollow-up throughout the entire career of every employee and lawyer, from thestart of employment to the end of employment.
• You will support payroll processing andliaise with the payroll service and other external partners.
• You will monitor absences, timerecording and social security legislation, and ensure the correct applicationof internal procedures.
• You will contribute to initiativesrelating to the training, development and wellbeing of staff and lawyers.
