Job summary

Sibelco Group in Belgium is seeking an HR Business Partner to support managers and employees in building a high-performance, engaging work environment. You will lead talent development, recruit for blue- and white-collar roles and collaborate with global centres of excellence to advance people strategies.

The role requires strong coaching, stakeholder management and a proactive mindset, with fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or equivalent through experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR, HR Business Partner or Talent Management role.
• Strong understanding of talent management, performance management and employee development practices.
• Experience in recruitment and employer branding activities.
• Knowledge of Belgian employment legislation is an asset.
• Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Proactive, solution-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first HR point of contact for managers regarding performance management, employee development, talent management and individual employee cases.
• Partner with managers in addressing performance concerns, employee relations matters and people management challenges.
• Coordinate and support the annual talent review, succession planning and workforce planning processes on a local level based on the Global policy.
• Facilitate the performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews and annual evaluations.
• Drive recruitment activities for blue- and white-collar positions, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing and stakeholder coordination. Experience with Workday is an asset.
• Develop and execute local employer branding initiatives to strengthen Sibelco's position as an employer of choice.
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, universities, recruitment agencies and job boards.
• Coordinate onboarding and induction programs to ensure a successful integration of new employees.
• Support learning and development initiatives and act as the local point of contact for training-related activities.
• Partner with the global and regional Centres of Excellence on talent, leadership and development programs.
• Monitor sickness absence trends and coordinate follow-up actions together with managers and the Site Management Team.
• Support employee retention initiatives and contribute to employee engagement activities.
• Lead and participate in HR projects related to talent, culture, leadership development and employee experience.
• Support the development and implementation of competency frameworks and skills matrices.
• Contribute to organizational development initiatives and change management projects.
• Provide HR data, insights and reporting to support strategic people decisions.
• Support HR operational activities and act as back-up for payroll and HR administration processes where needed.
