Job summary

Weerts Supply Chain NV in Belgium seeks a Medior/Senior HR Business Partner to join our Tessenderlo site. You will be the trusted HR partner for management and teams, translating business needs into pragmatic HR actions and partnering with the Liège HR project team where relevant.

You will lead HR projects, workforce planning, and data-driven HR insights, while supporting recruitment, learning, succession and a positive employee experience across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as HR Business Partner / Senior HR Business Partner.
• Broad understanding of HR and Belgian employment legislation.
• Proven experience partnering with and influencing managers.
• Experience leading HR projects and managing change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Pragmatic, hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to move between strategic thinking and operational execution.
• Native or fluent Dutch speaker with good English.

As we continue to develop our organisation, we are looking for a Medior/Senior HR Business Partner to join our plant in Tessenderlo.

This is a key role for an experienced HR professional who wants to go beyond traditional HR support and act as a true business partner : understanding the business, challenging and supporting managers, anticipating people needs and turning business priorities into concrete HR actions.

Alongside your business partnering responsibilities, you will take ownership of and contribute to strategic and transversal HR projects, helping WSC continuously improve the way we work.

Your role:

As Medior/Senior HR Business Partner, you will be the trusted HR partner for the management and teams at our Tessenderlo site. You will also be able to work closely with the HR project team in Liège as partially a part of this team.

You will work closely with operational leaders, understand their challenges and provide pragmatic, high-quality HR advice.

You will not simply respond to HR needs — you will anticipate them, challenge the status quo and help the business make better people decisions.

Your key responsibilities:

Be a true Business Partner to the organisation

• Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to managers and site leadership.


• Understand the business, its operational challenges and its priorities, and translate them into relevant people actions.


• Challenge managers constructively and help them make sound and sustainable people decisions.


• Coach managers in their role as people leaders and support them in complex people situations.


• Contribute to workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and talent decisions.


• Build strong relationships with employees and management and foster a positive employee experience.


• Ensure HR policies and practices are consistently and effectively applied

Lead and contribute to HR projects

• Take ownership of HR projects that support WSC’s business and people strategy.


• Translate needs into clear project objectives, plans and deliverables.


• Drive projects from conception through implementation and follow-up.


• Bring stakeholders together, create engagement and ensure successful adoption of new initiatives.


• Identify opportunities to simplify, digitalise and improve HR processes and ways of working.


• Contribute to transversal initiatives such as HR digitalisation, talent management, employer branding, employee experience, organisational development and continuous improvement.

Use data to drive better decisions

• Monitor and analyse key HR indicators such as headcount, absenteeism, turnover, recruitment and retention.


• Identify trends and translate data into meaningful business insights.


• Challenge existing practices and propose concrete improvement actions.


• Follow up on the impact and results of HR initiatives.

Develop our people and organisation

• Partner with managers to identify current and future capability needs.


• Support talent development, succession planning and internal mobility.


• Contribute to learning and development initiatives.


• Support recruitment and onboarding strategies in line with business needs.


• Help strengthen engagement, retention and a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who combines business acumen, maturity and pragmatism. You are comfortable operating independently, challenging managers when needed and taking ownership of complex topics.

Who you are :

• 7years + of experience in an HR Business Partner / Senior HR Business Partner role.


• A broad understanding of HR and solid knowledge of Belgian employment legislation.


• Proven experience in partnering with and influencing managers.


• Experience leading HR projects and managing change.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• A pragmatic, hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.


• The ability to move easily between strategic thinking and operational execution.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Autonomy, ownership and the confidence to challenge constructively.


• A genuine interest in both people and business performance.


• Native or fluent Dutch speaker and have a good working knowledge


• Professional level in english
