WLG in Brussels seeks an experienced health and safety professional to safeguard a high-stakes headquarters relocation. You will serve as the safety conscience across construction completion, relocation activities and early post-move operation, collaborating with the transition project manager, facilities, security and medical teams.

Based on site 80% of the time from September to December 2026, you will lead risk assessments, develop safe work procedures, ensure fire and evacuation readiness,

Qualifications

• Solid occupancy health and safety background with construction or facilities experience.
• Confident conducting risk assessments on live sites and with contractors.
• Experience in emergency preparedness, fire safety and ergonomics.
• Facility management or building construction experience is highly desirable.
• Clear written and spoken English and diplomacy across stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide continuous occupational health and safety advice across relocation, mitigating risks around construction completion, staff move-in and startup.
• Coordinate safety aspects with project manager, facilities, security and medical teams, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Conduct and oversee risk assessments for transitional activities to identify and control hazards.
• Develop and implement safe working procedures and emergency preparedness measures for the new site.
• Monitor compliance and assure safety readiness: fire systems, evacuation routes, first aid and ergonomics.
• Act as focal point for incident prevention and response during transition.
• Preserve safety knowledge: requirements, risk registers, contractor management.
• Support post-occupancy evaluation and capture lessons learned.
• Prepare and deliver periodic reports and status updates.
