Job summary

Lunch Garden in Belgium seeks a Head of Purchase to shape and steer strategic procurement. You will lead high‑impact negotiations, align with marketing and product teams, and ensure compliance with HACCP standards.

You report directly to the CEO and drive cost efficiency across food and non‑food categories. You bring a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years in senior procurement leadership, with fluency in Dutch and French.

Qualifications

• Solid academic background with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 8 years of proven senior purchase leadership experience.
• Fluency in Dutch and French is essential; English is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of HACCP and food standards.
• Experience in purchasing equipment and knowledge of buildings (remodelling) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of logistics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and be responsible for purchasing various product groups (food and non-food).
• Coordinate and implement the menu plan and food costs with other heads of department.
• Negotiate with the Technical Manager on purchase contracts for energy, equipment and materials.
• Plan and organise the purchasing department’s activities.
• Support departments in selecting new suppliers.
• Coach and develop the purchasing team.
• Draft the purchasing policy and HACCP standards, ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments on contracts and strategic purchases.
• Be the primary contact for the logistics partner and ensure contract execution.
• Integrate cost price and sale price data into operational software.
