Job summary

Lunch Garden in Belgium seeks a Head of Purchase to shape and steer the organisation’s strategic procurement vision, lead high‑impact contract negotiations, and safeguard compliance with standards.

You report directly to the CEO and manage supplier relationships across food and non‑food categories, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with the menu plan. The role requires strong leadership and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Solid academic background with Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 8 years of proven experience in a senior purchase leadership position.
• Fluency in Dutch and French; English is a welcome bonus.
• Extensive knowledge of food standards (HACCP) and related compliance.
• Experience in purchasing equipment and knowledge of buildings/logistics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and are responsible for purchasing various product groups, both food and non-food.
• Coordinate and are responsible for implementing the menu plan and food costs, working with Marketing and Product & Quality.
• Negotiate with the Technical Manager on purchase contracts for energy, equipment and materials within investment budgets.
• Ensure planning and organisation of the purchasing department’s activities.
• Support departments in supplier selection and onboarding of new partners.
• Inspire and coach the purchasing team to drive performance and development.
• Write purchasing policy and HACCP standards and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments in contract negotiations and strategic purchases.
• Be the preferred contact for logistics partners and ensure proper contract execution.
• Integrate cost price and sale price data into operational software.
