Michael Page International (Belgium) is seeking a Strategic Purchasing Manager to lead the European purchasing function and oversee supplier strategy and quality across operations. You will manage a purchasing and quality team and drive sourcing initiatives to optimize value and performance.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years in industrial procurement, strong leadership, ERP experience, and fluency in English, Dutch, and French.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in procurement within an industrial environment.
- Proven people management experience.
- Strong strategic sourcing and supplier management expertise.
- Experience negotiating contracts and driving savings initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Fluent in English, Dutch and French.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Results-driven, organised and resilient mindset.
Responsabilités
- Lead and develop the European purchasing function.
- Manage and coach purchasing and quality teams.
- Define and execute sourcing and supplier strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and framework agreements.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and procurement performance.
- Develop and monitor procurement KPIs.
- Ensure material availability and inventory optimisation.
- Partner closely with production, sales, logistics and quality teams.
