Job summary

Arendt Investor Services is expanding its IT leadership team in Luxembourg. We are seeking a Head of IT Infrastructure Management to oversee a hybrid environment, drive cloud integration, and ensure security, resilience and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team of professionals, manage external providers, and sponsor IT transformation programs. You will collaborate across the business to align technology with strategic goals, implement robust ITSM, and support audits and governance

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, ideally in finance or with financial-industry clients.
• Proven track record managing hybrid IT environments, including virtualization, private/public clouds, networks and workplace systems.
• Strong knowledge of modern workplace environments and their integration with infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure security and cybersecurity practices in hybrid/cloud setups.
• Experience with IT service management frameworks, preferably ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and continuous development of a reliable, high‑performance hybrid IT infrastructure (on‑prem, private/public cloud, public cloud) using clear IT service management processes.
• Lead the hybrid infrastructure landscape and oversee external help desk and internal application support teams.
• Manage central infrastructure services, including SLAs, virtual servers, storage, OS, databases, networks and security.
• Coordinate external MSPs and MSPs, monitoring KPIs and SLA compliance.
• Govern external providers across on‑prem and cloud environments with KPI tracking and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of incidents, problems and change management aligned with security and compliance.
• Plan and manage the hybrid transformation roadmap, including migrations to cloud/SaaS and optimization of architectures.
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps, annual planning and budgeting aligned with IT strategy.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve resilience, scalability, efficiency and security.
• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to a high‑performing team with hybrid cloud capabilities.
• Ensure regulatory, security and data protection compliance (DORA, GDPR, ISO 27001) across all components and support audits.

Head of IT Infrastructure Management

Your role:

• Responsibility, above the outsourcer (Infrastructure Managed Service Provider) and with the help of your team, for the operation and continuous development of a reliable, high-performance, and secure hybrid IT infrastructure (on-premises, private cloud, public cloud, and workplace environments) supporting the company’s IT application systems, based on clear and transparent IT service management processes (in particular incident and problem management, capacity management, change and configuration management, IT continuity management, backup and recovery, and patch management).
• Management and further development of the hybrid infrastructure landscape, including on-premises systems, network architecture, cloud platforms, and modern workplace environments, as well as oversight of an external help desk (1st level) and of an internal application support Team (2nd level).
• Responsibility for the operation of central infrastructure services in a hybrid model, including service levels (virtualized and cloud-based servers, storage/SAN, operating systems, databases, network components and services, and security services)
• For this purpose, management and oversight of external service providers and managed service providers, including monitoring and KPI reporting
• Management and governance of external service providers and managed service providers supporting both on-premises and cloud environments, including monitoring, SLA compliance, KPI tracking, and reporting
• Continuous improvement of incidents, problems, and change management processes across the hybrid infrastructure ecosystem, aligned with security, resilience, and compliance requirements
• Planning and management of the hybrid transformation roadmap, including migration from on-premises systems to cloud or SaaS platforms, as well as optimization of existing hybrid architectures
• Development of infrastructure roadmaps, annual planning, and budgeting, aligned with the overall IT strategy and hybrid cloud adoption strategy
• Evaluation, selection, and introduction of new technologies to improve resilience, scalability, efficiency, and security across hybrid environments
• Technical and disciplinary leadership, as well as further development of a high-performing infrastructure team with hybrid cloud capabilities
• Ensuring regulatory, security, and data protection compliance (including DORA, GDPR) across all hybrid infrastructure components
• Supporting internal and external audits and implementing corrective measures, including requirements from frameworks such as ISO 27001

Profile:

• 7–12 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure—ideally in the financial industry or at an IT service provider serving the financial industry with strong exposure to hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
• Solid, demonstrable experience managing hybrid IT infrastructures, including virtualization, cloud platforms (private/public), networking, and enterprise workplace systems
• Strong knowledge of modern workplace environments, particularly Microsoft 365 and hybrid infrastructure integration
• Deep understanding of infrastructure security and cybersecurity practices in hybrid and cloud environments
• Process-oriented approach, solid experience with IT service management frameworks, preferably ITIL
• Proven experience leading and developing a team of approximately six IT professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Strong interest in and understanding of 2nd-level application support and application maintenance activities, ensuring effective incident resolution, root cause analysis, and close collaboration with business and development teams.
• Fluent in English and French, written and spoken (C1/C2 level required)
• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Experience in cloud migration or infrastructure transformation projects, as well as with ISO 27001, DORA and GDPR requirements and audits, is desirable
