Vorwerk BENELUX seeks a Head of Finance & Controlling to lead the finance function across accounting, controlling, management reporting and external financial reporting. You report to the Finance Director, coach your team and ensure timely, accurate numbers that tell a business story.

You will shape financial strategy, safeguard controls and partner with management and departments across the Benelux organization in a demanding, international environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accountancy, finance or equivalent and at least 5 years’ experience in a finance management role.
• Experience in an international organization and budgeting/forecasting.
• Experience with SAP is a plus; strong analytical and communication skills.
• Strong people management and delegation capabilities; strategic thinking.

Responsabilités

• Lead the accounting, controlling, and reporting functions and ensure timely, accurate data.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, statutory filings and external reporting.

The role

As Head of Finance & Controlling, you lead the finance function across accounting, controlling, management reporting and external financial reporting. You report directly to the Finance Director, act as their right hand and take on delegated responsibilities where needed.

You lead a dedicated finance team, set priorities, coach your people and create an environment where they can take ownership and grow. Together you make sure the numbers are accurate, reach Vorwerk Home on time and tell a story the business can act on. You safeguard the controls, help shape the financial strategy and are a trusted partner to management and the various departments.

Your responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

• You are accountable for the accounting and finance function and, with your team, ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data in the ledgers.
• You oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts and make sure they reach Group within the set deadlines.
• You review the key performance variances with your team and turn them into clear insights for management.
• You steer statutory reporting and regulatory filings, working with your team and external partners.

Planning, Strategy & Business Partnering

• You lead the quarterly estimate and annual budget processes and ensure timely submission.
• You identify risks and opportunities that drive growth and business results.
• You build the company's financial strategy together with the Finance Director.
• You advise management and the various departments on financial matters and coordinate legal and tax input with the relevant experts.

Controlling & Commercial Performance

• You are the central point of contact for controlling topics with Vorwerk Home.
• You make sure performance is monitored against targets and actively challenge the salesforce KPIs.
• You commission simulations of the cost of challenges, incentives and KPI structures, and use the results to understand what motivates our sales advisors.
• You ensure marketing campaigns are assessed for efficiency and effectiveness and that margin analyses are carried out on promotions.
• You keep track of the marketing budget in close consultation with the Marketing Director.

Compliance, Audit & Controls

• You coordinate the external and internal audit process.
• You ensure compliance with legal obligations and international tax requirements, drawing on internal and external expertise where needed.
• You keep yourself and your team up to date on changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.
• You act as bank and transaction authorizer in line with Vorwerk's Delegation of Authority.
• You define finance policies, procedures and controls and make sure they are applied consistently.

Systems & Team

• You drive the further development of finance systems and processes and reduce manual workarounds wherever possible.
• You coach and develop your team, delegate with confidence and help your people build their skills and responsibilities.

Your profile

• You hold a master's degree in accountancy, finance or an equivalent qualification and have at least 5 years' experience in a finance management role.
• You have experience in an international organization.
• You have experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• You are strongly analytical and detail-conscious, while never losing sight of the big picture.
• You think critically and find solutions, even when systems or deadlines work against you.
• You are a strong people manager with proven experience leading and coaching a team, and you know how to delegate effectively.
• You communicate easily with both financial and non-financial colleagues and balance the interests of different stakeholders.
• You think strategically and understand how business decisions affect the finance function.
• You are a driver of change and continuous improvement.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English.
