Job summary

European Space Agency is seeking a Hardware Security Evaluation Engineer within the System Security Section to help build a national hardware security evaluation capability. You will contribute to test and evaluation laboratory development, review security designs, and advise national customers and ESA experts on security options.

The role requires hands-on hardware hacking and assessment across IT and embedded systems, knowledge of security standards, and the ability to translate requirements

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience required, or Bachelor’s with 4 years experience.
• Hands-on experience in hardware hacking, exploitation and security assessment across IT and embedded-system technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support development of hardware security evaluation capabilities for national project.
• Provide recommendations and plans for test and evaluation laboratory capability development.
• Engage with national customers and ESA experts on options for developing hardware security evaluation capabilities.
• Derive technical requirements and review project proposals for security design and validation.
• Follow emerging threats and industry trends to inform security approaches.
