Job summary

Lotus Bakeries Group is seeking a Group Senior Controller Commercial & Operations to deliver forward-looking financial insight into commercial and operational performance across the group. You will combine performance management with harmonised controlling methodologies and data-driven analyses to support EXCO and key stakeholders.

You will coordinate monthly reviews, budgets and forecasts with Area Finance Managers and act as a finance partner for selected commercial and operational

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Economics or Business Engineering with relevant finance experience.
• Experience in controlling, FP&A, business partnering or similar finance role.
• Experience in a multinational environment, preferably FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting skills.
• Advanced Excel and presenting skills; SAP/BI are advantageous.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate numbers into business insights.
• Clear communication, stakeholder management and structured work style.
• Comfort in an international, challenging environment; English fluency essential; Dutch a plus.

Group Senior Controller Commercial & Operations

As Senior Controller Commercial & Operations, your key role is to provide forward-looking financial insight into commercial and operational performance across the Lotus Bakeries Group. In this position, you combine recurring performance management with the development of harmonised controlling methodologies, data-driven analyses and decision support.

• You connect Group performance reporting with the underlying business drivers. Challenging results and forecasts, you are the sparring partner for the Area finance teams and key stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Part of your daily responsibilities will be to analyse Group and Area performance across revenue, price-volume mix, costs, manufacturing performance, logistics and other relevant drivers.
• Working close with Area Finance Managers and Controllers, you coordinate and challenge monthly performance reviews, budgets and forecasts.
• Developing consistent commercial and operational controlling standards, definitions, analyses and reporting, you provide clear insights, scenarios and recommendations for EXCO, Board and business decision making.
• Acting as finance business partner for selected commercial and operational stakeholders, you support value-creating initiatives and the integration of newly acquired businesses into Group Controlling processes.
• We also count on you to contribute to finance transformation, analytics and automation initiatives in cooperation with the Finance Project Manager.

Profile

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

• A master’s degree in Applied Economics or Business Engineering, combined with a strong and relevant experience in controlling, FP&A, business partnering or a comparable finance role.
• Experience in commercial and/or operations controlling in a multinational environment, preferably in (branded) FMCG or manufacturing.
• Solid expertise in controlling, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Advanced skills in Excel and presenting are key, whereas experience with SAP, BI and planning tools is an advantage.
• A highly analytical mindset with the ability to identify the business message behind the numbers and a commercial and operational curiosity with a pro-active and pragmatic approach
• A clear communication style, strong stakeholder management skills and a structured, accurate and reliable approach to daily responsibilities.
• The flexibility and resilience to comfortably work in an international, highly challenging environment.
• Fluency in English with Dutch being an added value.
