VIB Center for Cancer Biology (CCB) and KU Leuven's Department of Oncology invite applications for a group leader/professor in Cancer Biology focusing on cross-talk between cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment. The appointed leader will drive an independent program and foster collaboration across VIB, KU Leuven and industry.

Requirements include a PhD in (Bio-)Medical Sciences or related field, a strong international publication record, leadership experience, and proficiency in English;

Qualifications

• PhD in the field of (Bio-) Medical Sciences or related field.
• Strong international publication record in leading journals.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch language training provided if needed.

Responsabilités

• Lead an independent research program on cross-talk between tumors and the tumor microenvironment.
• Collaborate across VIB/Centre for Cancer Biology, KU Leuven and industry.
• Develop omics-based oncology approaches with translational potential.
• Mentor groups and contribute to department and university education.
