VIB invites applications for a professor/group leader in Cancer Biology focusing on the cross talk between cancer cells and their tumor microenvironment. The role requires leading a translational research program and fostering collaboration between VIB Center for Cancer Biology and KU Leuven’s Oncology Department to advance precision therapies.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
• Proven leadership of a research group in biomedical sciences.
• International publication record in high-impact journals.

Responsabilités

• Lead a ground-breaking cancer biology program focusing on tumor–microenvironment cross-talk.
• Build bridges between VIB, KU Leuven, and external centers and industry.
• Develop and apply omics technologies with translational potential.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the research center and department.
