Job description

A leading European company in the industry is seeking a Group Controller - Holding to join its Finance team at the Group level, based in Brussels. This is a pivotal role offering exposure to executive leadership and direct partnership with the Head of Controlling.

Client Details

The Group Controller will be responsible for the finances of the holding and the consolidation for the analytic Reporting at Group Level.

The role includes a quite operational maintenance of the business controlling, with an eye for details and a strong analytical mind, as well as the opportunity to discuss strategic matters and have a direct impact on the results of the company, driving the financial performance of the Group.

Description

The Group Controller plays a role at the center of the group activities and will manage a wide range of responsibilities. This role is transverse with a global vision and the will to have an impact.

Group consolidation and financial reporting

• Coordinate group-wide budgets, forecasts, and long-term planning across all entities
• Contribute to financial reporting for executive management, Board, and Audit Committee
• Provide financial analysis to support management decision-making

Monitoring of holding costs

• Coordinate and monitor holding-level costs during budget and forecast cycles
• Consolidate and analyze intercompany cost data
• Ensure correct and consistent application of transfer pricing policies

Continuous improvement of financial processes and tools

• Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting, and tools
• Collaborate with controlling teams to implement best practices
• Support standardization and automation initiatives across finance

Profile

The Group Controller presents a certain set of hard and soft skills:

• Master's degree in finance, Business Management, Economics - or equivalent
• Around 4-5 years of experience in Finance (ideally in a controlling position)
• Excellent command of French & English - Dutch is a plus
• Experience with SAP
• An affinity with process management and IT tools
