Sander Brussels, an international media group, is seeking an experienced Business Controller to join the Vilvoorde Finance team. You will own operational finance tasks, drive reporting and partner with Sales, Marketing and operations to enable data-driven decisions.

You will consolidate Belgian and Group reporting, analyze variances, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and process improvements in a collaborative, flat-structure environment with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in controlling, reporting, financial analysis and/or audit.
• Experience in an in-house Finance environment is important (audit-only background is not enough).
• Solid understanding of accounting and ability to connect figures with business analysis.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.

• Prepare and consolidate financial reporting at both Belgian and Group level.
• Analyze financial results, variances and main business drivers.

Join an international media group in a Business Controller position combining financial analysis, reporting and genuine business partnering. Our partner is an established company active in the media and advertising industry. Despite being part of an international group, the Belgian organization maintains a family-oriented culture, a flat structure and small teams with broad responsibilities. With around 200 employees, the company encourages direct collaboration between Finance, Sales, Marketing and operational teams. To strengthen its Finance team in Vilvoorde, the company is currently looking for an experienced Business Controller who can quickly take ownership of a highly operational role with strong exposure to the business.

• Preparing and consolidating financial reporting at both Belgian and Group level
• Analysing financial results, variances and the main business drivers
• Participating actively in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitoring and analysing investments and CAPEX
• Gathering and challenging financial information from the different departments
• Acting as a Finance Business Partner for Sales, Marketing and operational teams
• Preparing financial analyses and ad hoc reports for both the local business and the Group
• Contributing to internal and external audits
• Supporting the continuous improvement of Finance processes

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in controlling, reporting, financial analysis and/or audit
• An audit-only background will not be sufficient: previous exposure to an in-house Finance environment is important
• You have a solid understanding of accounting and can connect accounting figures with financial and business analysis
• You have excellent Excel skills
• You are experienced in budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis
• Previous experience with SAP is an advantage
• You are fluent in either French or Dutch and have a good understanding of the other national language
• You have a professional level of English for Group reporting and international interactions
