Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Materials Assistant to optimize inventory and coordinate planning across branches in Gent/Nazareth. You will generate monthly inventory reports, support forecasting models with product and sales teams, and ensure adherence to stock policies.

Required are a bachelor’s degree, ERP experience, and strong communication skills. Occasional overnight travel and English proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
• Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Willing to make infrequent overnight travel.
• English language proficiency; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee the planning and coordination of the company’s inventory.
• Prepare the reports for the monthly Global Inventory Meetings.
• Participate in the monthly Global inventory meetings.
• Collaborate with product and sales management to plan forecasting models.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management on delivery and inventory strategies.
• Create and follow up on the implantation of Inventory add requests.
• Analyze and optimize the inventory levels of the Finished Goods (FG) inventory.
• Analyze and optimize the inventory levels of the Component Inventory.
• Prepare and review the Kanban calculation for all branches in cooperation with Branch Operations and the Branch Managers.
• Analyse and put action plan together for excess and obsolete inventory.
• Monitor out of region shipments and define action plan.
• Prepare and review the weekly Sales & Operations inventory reports.
• Review the weekly On Time Delivery (OTD) reports and propose actions.
• Daily review of the Branch Stock Out reports.
• Ensure that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions.
• Development and implementation of inventory policies, procedures and processes.
