POLITICO is seeking an experienced Finance Director, Global Controller based in Brussels to lead the global accounting function and partner with the CFO. You will oversee the global close, policy setting, statutory filings, and internal controls while building a high-performing, multinational accounting team.

The role requires deep technical accounting expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to drive automation and scalable processes across regions and entities.

Qualificações

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience in an international group.
• Professional accounting qualification and degree in accounting/finance.
• Strong IFRS and US GAAP knowledge with multi-entity consolidation.
• Proven internal control ownership and external-audit management.
• Experience with subscription, advertising or events revenue considered.

Responsabilidades

• Lead global close and IFRS consolidation for group reporting.
• Set accounting policy and judgments on complex topics.
• Oversee statutory reporting across jurisdictions and external accountants.
• Own ICFR framework and interaction with external auditors/internal audit.
• Manage tax accounting, transfer pricing, and international tax matters.
• Support acquisitions through due diligence and post-deal integration.
• Drive automation of close and reporting, leveraging Workday & Salesforce.
