Job summary

BMW Group Belux is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the finance team. You will ensure reliable financial reporting, accurate ledger management, and compliance with BMW standards and regulatory requirements in Belgium.

Responsibilities include monthly statements, P2P processes, and audits support, with a focus on VAT declarations and process improvements. Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement? Join our finance team and play a key role in ensuring reliable financial reporting, smooth accounting operations, and compliance with both regulatory and BMW standards.

What awaits you?

• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with Belgian GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including the execution of the purchase-to-pay process (invoice processing, payment runs, and PO/PR follow-up).
• Manage, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and other financial records while resolving discrepancies where needed.
• Prepare and review payment files, register bank statements, and act as a backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable colleagues.
• Contribute to internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with BMW policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support tax-related activities, including VAT declarations and other tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable deadlines and regulations.
• Drive process improvements, maintain work instructions, contribute to system testing for new releases, and liaise with external banking partners regarding authorities and signature guidelines.

What should you bring along?

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with SAP; knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is considered a strong asset.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English, combined with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
