Job summary

BMW Group Belux is seeking a GL Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate financial reporting under Belgian GAAP and IFRS. The role covers AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and process improvements in a multinational setting.

The candidate will support audits, VAT declarations, and tax filings while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is required, with SAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly financial statements in Belgian GAAP and IFRS.
• Record transactions and execute the purchase-to-pay process (invoice processing, payment runs, PO/PR follow-up).
• Reconcile general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review payment files; backup for AP/AR colleagues.
• Contribute to audits and ensure compliance with BMW policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support VAT declarations and other tax filings; meet deadlines.
• Drive process improvements, maintain work instructions, test new releases, liaise with banks.
