BMW Group Belux is seeking a GL Accounting Specialist to strengthen our finance team in Belgium. You will support monthly close, general ledger reconciliations, and ensure compliance with Belgian GAAP and IFRS standards, working closely with accounts payable/receivable and tax teams.

In this role, you will analyse financial data, prepare payment files, support audits, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining adherence to BMW policies and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with SAP; SAP S/4HANA is a strong asset.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.

Responsabilidades

• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with Belgian GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including purchase-to-pay processes (invoice processing, payment runs, PO/PR follow-up).
• Manage, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and other financial records; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review payment files, register bank statements, and act as a backup for AP/AR colleagues.
• Contribute to internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with BMW policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support tax-related activities, including VAT declarations and other tax filings.
• Drive process improvements, maintain work instructions, test new releases, and liaise with external banking partners.
