Pauwels Consulting in Brussels is seeking a senior data engineer specialized in geospatial data to oversee address data and geospatial systems for large-scale infrastructure projects. You will ensure data integrity across network inventories, automate reporting cycles, and develop scripts to streamline design engineering workflows.

The role requires 5+ years in geospatial data analysis, strong SQL, Python/pandas expertise, and hands-on QGIS with ETL tools such as FME.

Qualifications

5+ years in data analysis, data quality, or data engineering in a geospatial context.
Advanced SQL proficiency for complex queries and data reconciliation.
Strong Python and pandas scripting for automation.
Deep geospatial knowledge including coordinate systems and spatial joins using QGIS.
Experience with ETL workflows such as FME.
Bachelor or Master in Geomatics, GIS, Data Science, or Engineering.
Autonomous and proactive in resolving data issues.
Fluent French with professional knowledge of English.

Responsabilités

Oversee address data lifecycle and ensure consistency across network inventories.
Develop build lists for deployment areas by reconciling data sources.
Maintain data quality with pre-submission checks and corrections.
Build and reconcile databases for infrastructure assets like poles and capacity registers.
Automate regulatory reporting processes.
Create validation rules and scripts to support design engineering.
Document workflows and share technical expertise with internal/external teams.
