The Brussels-based international defence organisation is seeking a GIS developer to build and extend its web mapping applications and the services behind them. You will work on-site with the project manager in Brussels, delivering fast, reliable maps and geospatial services.

Responsibilities include configuring web GIS applications, integrating diverse data sources, performing geoprocessing with Python, and tuning performance of map services.

Formación

• 5+ years of web development with modern JavaScript frameworks

Responsabilidades

• Develop and configure web GIS applications with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript and other modern frameworks
• Bring spatial data from classified and unclassified sources into those applications
• Convert and prepare data with Python and spatial ETL tools
• Set up map services, feature layers and tiled data for fast web loading
• Tune backend queries and map rendering for performance
• Document code, service endpoints and architecture, and transfer knowledge to staff
