Job summary

AbbVie Belgium is seeking a passionate and scientifically credible Medical Scientific Liaison to join the Gastroenterology Medical Affairs team. You will serve as a scientific expert to gastroenterologists and healthcare professionals across Northern Belgium, building collaborations and advancing patient care.

In this field-based role, you will communicate clinical data in a compliant, non-promotional manner, support local medical projects, and contribute to studies and publications.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, or equivalent.
• Experience or knowledge in Gastroenterology, Immunology, or related areas is desirable.
• Experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research or related fields is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific data to scientific and non-scientific audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic scientific partnerships with key opinion leaders and investigators.
• Deliver high-quality scientific exchange on AbbVie products, pipeline assets and disease state management.
• Identify and communicate actionable medical insights, trends and unmet needs.
• Support local medical projects, registries, observational research and post-marketing studies.
• Facilitate interactions between external experts and AbbVie's Medical Affairs organization.
• Provide scientific support for publications and educational initiatives.
• Contribute to study feasibility, site identification and patient recruitment activities.
• Deliver scientific presentations and educational sessions to healthcare professionals.
• Maintain deep expertise in gastroenterology and emerging literature; stay updated on the healthcare landscape.
