Job summary

Imec is seeking an enthusiastic GaN power integration engineer to define and optimize GaN device and process workflows, working from early concepts to robust, manufacturable solutions. You will engage with partners and customers to align development priorities with practical device performance goals.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across epitaxial growth, metrology, process development, device design and layout, and fabrication facilities, with regular reporting to leadership

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree, preferably with relevant industrial experience in semiconductor processing and development.
• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor processing or integration.
• Experience in progressing to higher process maturity level in an industrial setting.
• Experience in analysing and presenting technical results.
• Knowledge of GaN HEMT processing and fabrication technologies is highly valued.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Enthusiastic team player with project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define the process flows to enable new device functionality for Imec partners and customers.
• Work on GaN power technologies from concepts to manufacturable solutions.
• Contribute to customer projects with focus on improving process maturity.
• Interact with industrial partners and customers to translate needs into development priorities.
• Coordinate with epitaxial growth, metrology, process development, device design, and layout teams.
• Define and implement process flows and manage development activities with fabrication facilities.
• Monitor wafer test material processing and analyze electrical performance data.
• Report progress and results to team leader, program manager, and customers.
