Avertim is seeking a Functional Analyst to translate business expectations into coherent functional solutions for Energy & Transport clients in Belgium. You will bridge users, process owners and tech teams, clarifying requirements, describing system functionalities and supporting solutions throughout delivery lifecycles.

You will contribute to digital transformation programs, develop functional specifications, and collaborate with architects, developers and testers while ensuring traceability

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in Functional Analysis or Business Analysis.
• Ability to translate business language into structured functional documentation for technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Work accurately while managing several requirements and stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile delivery, testing or business applications is an asset.
• Knowledge of Energy, Utilities, Transport, Mobility or Infrastructure environments is an asset.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French with professional English level.

• Support implementation, user documentation, training and adoption activities.
• Identify functional risks, dependencies and opportunities for simplification or improvement.

Your role

You will help our Energy & Transport clients translate business expectations into coherent functional solutions. Positioned between users, process owners and technical delivery teams, you will clarify requirements, describe expected system functionalities and support solutions throughout the delivery lifecycle. As a Functional Analyst, you will contribute to digital transformation programmes involving business applications, customer and operational platforms, data flows and system interfaces.

Your responsibilities

• Understand business processes, user needs, pain points and functional requirements.
• Elicit, analyse and document functional requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Model processes, information flows, business rules and interactions between systems where relevant.

Your profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business or a related field.
• You have 3 to 7 years of experience in Functional Analysis, Business Analysis or a similar role.
• You can translate business language into structured functional documentation for technical teams.
• You have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• You work accurately and can manage several requirements and stakeholders at the same time.
• Experience with Agile delivery, testing or business applications is an asset.
• Knowledge of Energy, Utilities, Transport, Mobility or Infrastructure environments is an asset.
• You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and have a professional level of English.
