Job summary

WLG, an international defence organisation in Brussels, seeks a GIS developer to build and extend its web mapping applications on site with the project manager.

You will develop web GIS apps using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ingest data from classified and unclassified sources, and optimize performance while documenting architecture for staff.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of web development with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js or Angular).
• Hands-on work with a major web mapping SDK - layers, popups and custom widgets.
• Python for geoprocessing and automation (ArcPy, GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL/OGR).
• Backend services or pipelines that expose geospatial functionality.
• Git, Agile, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, geography, IT or similar.
• Advanced English; some basic French is helpful.

Responsibilities
