DSV Puurs is seeking a Freight Forwarder, Sea (Control Tower) to manage the export sea shipments for our key client. You will operate within our Puurs location’s control tower to coordinate the entire transport process, ensuring timely execution and documentation.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required or preferred.
• Several years of experience in Freight Forwarding (Seafreight) within a logistics environment.
• IMDG + Codex training (preferred)

Responsabilités

• Provide exceptional daily service and communication with your key client regarding sea freight export shipments
• Create and manage shipments in our TMS system
• Coordinate bookings with carriers and shipping companies per agreements
• Liaise with the customs team to prepare customs documents
• Foster relationships within the DSV network for shipment announcements and quotations
• Take ownership of billing accuracy and data quality per DSV Compliance standards
• Apply DSV Compliance protocols including security, embargo countries, carrier regulations, and commodity specs

As a Freight Forwarder Export Sea at our Puurs location, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing the entire transport process for our key client.

Join our dynamic control tower department and become an integral part of our mission to deliver excellence in logistics (Sea freight).

Tasks

• Provide exceptional daily service and communication with your key client regarding sea freight export shipments;


• Utilize your expertise to create and manage shipments in our state-of-the-art TMS system;


• Coordinate bookings with various partners, including carriers and shipping companies, in accordance with established agreements;


• Liaise with the customs team to ensure timely preparation of customs documents;


• Foster strong relationships within the DSV network, collaborating on shipment announcements and quotations;


• Take ownership of billing accuracy and data quality, adhering to DSV Compliance standards;


• Demonstrate proficiency in applying DSV Compliance protocols, including security measures, embargo countries, carrier regulations, and commodity specifications

You bring

• You have already a few years of experience within Freight Forwarding (Seafreight);


• Good knowledge of English;


• IMDG + Codex training (preferred)
