Axis Group is seeking a Freelance Insurance Manager in Antwerp to oversee our non-life insurance portfolio, underwriting policy, and claims strategy. You will lead process improvements and ensure high service levels across the department.

You will coach and develop the team, collaborate with internal partners and external providers, and drive data-driven decisions. This freelance project runs through the end of April 2027.

Job description

We are looking for a Freelance Insurance Manager for our client in Antwerp.

Together with the team, you will be responsible for managing our insurance portfolio, underwriting policy, and claims settlement policy. You will ensure optimal service and high customer satisfaction.

• Responsible for setting the vision regarding the management of our existing non-life insurance portfolio and our underwriting and portfolio restructuring policies.
• You ensure that your department operates as efficiently as possible. You are not afraid to take a critical look at the status quo and existing processes. You know how to identify issues constructively and implement improvements.
• You are the primary point of contact for other departments and external partners regarding applications and management. You ensure that our external partners deliver what they have promised in a timely manner.
• You motivate, coach, and develop your team and foster an environment where the necessary competencies are present and the status quo is continually challenged.
• You report relevant data and information in a timely and accurate manner. Based on this data, you also provide proactive guidance and optimize operations and processes within your team.
