adesso Belgium is seeking an experienced freelance Data Engineer to join our talent pool for projects in Belgium. You will design, build and operate data solutions that enable data-driven decisions, including data ingestion, ETL/ELT and data modeling for analytics.

Collaborate with data architects, BI developers, analysts and stakeholders, ensuring scalable and secure data platforms. Fluency in French or Dutch and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong SQL and data modeling for analytics (data warehouse concepts, star schema).
• Experience building data pipelines and data solutions with modern tools.
• Good Python programming skills (data engineering preferred).
• Familiar with version control and basic CI/CD practices.
• Fluent in French or Dutch; comfortable in English.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and operate data ingestion, transformation pipelines.
• Implement robust ETL/ELT processes with modern tools.
• Design data models for analytics, prepare data for BI and ML use cases.
• Work with modern data platforms, on-premise or cloud.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring and logging.
