adesso Belgium is seeking a Data Engineer to translate complex data issues into scalable, cloud-based solutions. You will transform raw, scattered data into reliable information by building robust pipelines, modeling data layers, and setting up cloud data architectures that work for customers.

You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other specialists to ensure data quality, governance and security while contributing ideas for content and context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of work experience as a data engineer and experience in at least one data platform: Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake.
• Strong command of SQL & Python, ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
• Clear communication in Dutch/French and English (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD and knowledge of dbt and/or Spark.
• Familiarity with data integration tools such as SSIS, ADF, or Airflow.
• Experience with visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and Agile working methods.
• Analytical, structured thinker with strong communication skills.
