Zusammenfassung

MetiSelect is seeking a Field Service Engineer for its international EMEA service team based near Merchtem, Belgium. You’ll split time between on-site visits across the EMEA region and the Merchtem service center, performing diagnostics, maintenance and repairs with a strong customer focus.

You’ll travel approximately 40-50% internationally, troubleshoot electrical systems and industrial electronics, and train customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.

Qualifikationen

• Fluent in Dutch, French, English, and German; communicates across the EMEA region.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and industrial electronics.
• Hands-on troubleshooting/repair of industrial electronics or control systems.
• At least 2 years in field service, industrial maintenance, or manufacturing.
• Willingness for ~50% international travel.

Functie

As a field service engineer, you'll be the technical expert customers rely on to keep their industrial equipment running smoothly. You'll work both on-site at customer facilities across the EMEA region and at the technical service center in Merchtem, combining hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs with direct customer support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Technical troubleshooting: Diagnose, analyse, and resolve issues with industrial measurement equipment, electronic systems, and process control technologies.
• Installation & commissioning: Install, configure, and commission advanced technical equipment at customer sites throughout the EMEA region.
• Maintenance & repairs: Perform technical repairs, preventive maintenance, and failure analysis, both on-site and at the workshop in Merchtem.
• Customer support: Provide professional technical assistance, both remotely and in person, ensuring customers receive efficient and reliable solutions.
• Technical training: Guide customers in the correct use, maintenance, and operation of their equipment.
• Continuous improvement: Collaborate with international engineering and technical teams to identify recurring issues and contribute to product and service improvements.
• Reporting & follow-up: Document technical interventions, maintain accurate service records, and take ownership of your assigned cases from start to finish.

You’ll spend approximately 40-50% of your time travelling internationally, while the remaining time will mainly be dedicated to technical repairs, diagnostics, and support activities at the Merchtem service center.
