Job summary

Prado is seeking a Field Application Engineer to bridge the gap between architects, installers and our R&D team across Europe. You will test KNX solutions, verify interoperability and help shape ETS applications with close collaboration to product teams.

You will train installers and integrators, visit sites across Flanders and Brussels, and translate field feedback into roadmap improvements, while maintaining a hands-on, proactive approach and a passion for smart home technology.

Qualifications

• Hands-on KNX experience in integration, installation or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ETS and KNX protocols.
• KNX Partner certification is a plus.
• Practical electrical installation experience on real projects.
• Experience with lighting control and related technologies (DALI, Matter, Thread).
• Networking or scripting skills are a strong plus.
• Clear documentation and ability to explain complex concepts to installers.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape smart home products from development to launch by testing KNX solutions and validating ETS applications with R&D.
• Translate field experience into product improvements and contribute to roadmap decisions.
• Introduce products to installers through site visits, demonstrations and events; strengthen presence in Belgium.
• Train installers, integrators and Sales on KNX technology and its applications in projects.
• Act as a technical partner to Sales with guidance on projects and installation requirements.
• Support partners during installation by answering technical questions and improving guides and documentation.
• Identify root causes with R&D to resolve issues at the source.
