NN Belgium is hiring an Expert Underwriter in a hybrid role based in Brussels. You will own Property product development and underwriting decisions for entrepreneurs and self-employed clients, partnering with Product Management and operations to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will analyze risks, collaborate with the production team, and nurture long-term relationships with brokers and clients while staying current on market trends and sharing expertise with Sales, Claims and Policy

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Property insurance within the business segment.
• At least 2 years of underwriting experience in this segment.
• Familiar with the business insurance market and the broker landscape.
• Strong analytical skills with a client- and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Fluent in Dutch; good command of French and English.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent).
• Technical background (e.g. construction) is a strong asset.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to the development and improvement of Property products for small businesses and self-employed clients.
• Act as a bridge between Product Management and operations, translating insights into concrete product improvements.
• Analyze, assess and accept risks within Property, ensuring sound and well-structured underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with colleagues from the production team to ensure a consistent and aligned underwriting approach.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with brokers and clients, positioning yourself as a trusted partner.
• Stay up to date with market developments and continuously invest in your own expertise.
• Support colleagues in complex cases and share knowledge through coaching and day-to-day collaboration with Sales, Claims, Policy Management and other partners.
