Job summary

Marchandise Genk is seeking an experienced Construction Equipment Technician to lead diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on heavy machinery. You will analyse faults, interpret complex hydraulic and electrical diagrams and determine the right solutions to get machines back in service.

You will perform repairs in our workshop or on site, service and maintain equipment from leading manufacturers, and collaborate with the workshop, parts department and technical team while continually developing

Qualifications

• Experience as a technician on construction equipment, earthmoving machinery or similar.
• Strong expertise in hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose complex faults and troubleshoot effectively.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical diagrams.
• Independent, thorough and reliable with a collaborative mindset.

Are you comfortable handling complex diagnostics and keen to understand the root cause of a fault before taking action? At Marchandise Genk, we are looking for an experienced technician to strengthen our technical team and bring their expertise to the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of construction equipment.

Your role goes beyond simply replacing parts: you analyse faults, carry out diagnostics and identify the right solution to get machines back up and running in optimal condition.

What we expect from you

• You diagnose and repair construction equipment.
• You carry out repairs both in our workshop and directly on site.
• You identify the root cause of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• You read and interpret complex hydraulic and electrical diagrams.
• You carry out servicing and maintenance and ensure machines are returned to full working order.
• You perform the necessary tests, inspections and adjustments after each intervention.
• You work on machines from leading manufacturers in their respective sectors.
• You collaborate with the workshop, parts department and technical team to find the right solutions.
• You continuously develop your expertise through technical training.

• You have solid experience as a technician working on construction equipment, earthmoving machinery, material handling equipment or similar machinery.
• You have strong expertise in hydraulics and electrical systems.
• You are comfortable with complex technical diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• You have strong technical reasoning skills and are able to work independently.
• You enjoy working as part of a team and sharing your knowledge.
