EU/UK Compliance Lead for InsurTech & Regulation

Job summary

Qover, a fast-growing pan-European InsurTech, seeks a Compliance Officer to help maintain and scale a robust compliance and privacy architecture across EU FSMA and UK FCA requirements.

Reporting to the General Counsel with a direct line to the CEO, you will lead governance, regulatory reporting, consumer protection, KYC and sanctions screening, and training within the LINC team, ensuring alignment with product and risk teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Law; professional certifications are a plus (ICA CAMS, etc).
• 3–5 years of experience in a compliance role within Financial Services, FinTech or Insurance.
• Solid understanding of EU insurance distribution regulations (IDD, FSMA) and UK frameworks (FCA).
• Fluent English; French or Dutch an asset.

Responsibilities

• Governance: own and track day-to-day compliance tasks across internal stakeholders.
• Regulatory reporting: coordinate FCA RegData/Connect; FSMA filings and UK Companies House filings.
• Consumer protection: oversee Consumer Duty MI data pipelines and POG adherence.
• Financial crime: sanctions screening, KYC, SAR investigations with risk carriers.
• Compliance monitoring: QA audits on tickets and claims; support external audits.
