Job summary

Qover is seeking a legally trained compliance professional to drive regulatory strategy and governance under FSMA and FCA. This advisory role focuses on regulatory architecture, not operational KYC tasks, and reports to General Counsel with a direct line to the CEO.

You will shape compliance programs, partner with Management, and ensure EU and UK regulatory requirements are effectively integrated into growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law required.
• 3–5 years in a compliance role within financial services, FinTech or insurance.
• Experience as standalone Compliance Officer or In-House Counsel preferred.
• Solid understanding of EU insurance distribution regulations (IDD, FSMA) and UK (FCA).
• English proficiency; French or Dutch a plus.
• Comfort with AI agents, digital tools and compliance software.

Responsibilities

• Own and track day-to-day compliance governance across stakeholders.
• Draft quarterly compliance roadmaps, retrospectives and annual report.
• Coordinate FCA RegData/Connect reporting and FSMA filings.
• Oversee Consumer Duty MI and Product Oversight & Governance.
• Lead KYC, sanctions screening and SAR processes.
• Support external audits and internal QA activities.
• Manage employee training on compliance topics.
