Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in Brussels, Belgium, seeks a motivated EU Partnerships and Business Development Representative to lead EU-related development initiatives and engage EU institutions in Brussels. The role spans the Eastern Europe Regional Program and Helvetas' work across Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Based in Brussels under Alliance2015, you will focus on EU funding instruments, program development, and network-building, with ~20% time for Alliance2015 activities.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in international development, European affairs/EU studies, business administration, political science, or a related field.
• Professional certification in a relevant thematic area preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or program development within an INGO.
• Experience with EU institutions and programs and proven track record in securing EU funding.
• Familiarity with the EU accession process and Western Balkans agenda is an asset.
• Experience coordinating multi-country and multi-stakeholder development efforts.
• Knowledge of Helvetas and its work is an asset; English fluent; French/Dutch strongly desired.

Responsabilités

• Lead EU-related business development initiatives for the Eastern Europe Regional Program (including Western Balkans).
• Build networks and relationships with EU institutions and potential partner organisations relevant to EU funding and neighbourhood processes.
• Coordinate with Helvetas regional office teams to ensure engagement and visibility at EU-related events.
• Act as Helvetas' EU Partnerships and Business Development Representative and drive access to EU funding sources.
• Act as EU Key Account within Helvetas, compiling information on EU funding instruments and opportunities.
• Build and manage Helvetas' relationships with EU institutions, INGOs, and Brussels-based organisations.
• Contribute (≈20%) to Alliance2015 Brussels Office activities.
• Identify synergies between Helvetas' and Alliance2015 members' EU engagement interests.
