IDLO - International Development Law Organization in Brussels seeks an EU Engagement Adviser to lead and deepen our strategic engagement with EU institutions, the Government of Belgium, and Brussels-based partners. You will position IDLO as a trusted partner, support resource mobilization, and help advance our policy advocacy.

Reporting to the Director of External Relations and Partnerships, you will develop EU engagement plans, monitor policy developments, coordinate internal efforts, and

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in political sciences, law, international relations or related field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years in international/multilateral organizations with 6 years engaging EU institutions.
• Proven track record in resource mobilization and partnership development related to development, governance, or rule of law.
• Experience engaging with EU institutions and funding mechanisms in Brussels.
• Fluent in English; French desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead on strategic EU engagement with EU institutions, Belgium government, and Brussels-based partners.
• Identify and pursue EU funding opportunities and develop high-quality proposals.
• Coordinate internal EU engagement efforts and monitor policy developments.
• Organize high-level meetings, events, and advocacy activities to raise IDLO’s visibility in the EU ecosystem.
