You will work within the ESA Academy Unit of the ESA Education Office in the Human Resources Department. The ESA Academy is ESA’s flagship programme for university students and early-career professionals, combining training, project experience and engagement activities to support career readiness in the space sector. Through its training, projects and engagement activity areas, the ESA Academy provides practical learning opportunities, exposure to space professionals, and hands-on experience complementing academic education.
The training activity area delivers a broad portfolio of onsite, online and hybrid learning opportunities covering technical, scientific and professional subjects relevant to the space sector. These activities are developed and delivered in cooperation with ESA experts, industry, academia and other partners, and are increasingly complemented by digital learning resources and e-learning solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for the management, coordination and continuous development of the ESA Academy training programme.

A master’s degree in a relevant domain is required for this post together with eight years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree and an additional four years of relevant professional experience may be considered.

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests. Additionally, successful candidates will need to undergo basic screening before appointment, which will be conducted by an external background screening service, in compliance with the European Space Agency's security procedures.
Note that ESA is in the process of transitioning to a Matrix setup, which could lead to organisational changes affecting this position.
