NCIM in Belgium is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to administer and configure enterprise-wide cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and AWS. You will provide Level 2/3 support for cloud incidents, provision and maintain VMs, storage, and hosting across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, and optimise resources for high availability.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Azure and/or AWS cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS).
• Experience with on‑premises and cloud hosting (SharePoint/Apache/WebLogic).
• Provision and maintain VMs, storage, networking and hosting environments.
• Terraform or similar IaC tooling experience.
• Scripting proficiency in Python/Bash/PowerShell.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to provide Level 2/3 technical support for cloud infra incidents.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills in recent roles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organisational structure.

Duties

• Administer and configure enterprise-wide cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).


• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for cloud-related incidents, investigating and resolving operational issues promptly.


• Provision, configure and maintain virtual machines, cloud storage and web-hosting environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.


• Monitor and optimise cloud resources and web-hosting services to ensure high availability, performance and reliability.


• Automate the deployment, configuration and management of cloud resources using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.


• Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate routine operational tasks, including instance management, backups and scaling.


• Support and maintain web-hosting solutions, including SharePoint, Apache and Oracle WebLogic.


• Configure and manage Azure infrastructure components, including virtual machines, virtual networks, load balancers and Azure Monitor.


• Implement and support DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).


• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and other related duties as required.

Technical Requirements

• Experience administering and configuring Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud environments, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).


• Experience with on-premises and cloud-based web-hosting solutions, such as SharePoint, Apache and Oracle WebLogic.


• Hands-on experience provisioning and maintaining virtual machines, cloud storage, networking and web-hosting environments.


• Experience with Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, load balancers and Azure Monitor.


• Experience automating cloud infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform or similar tools.


• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.


• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.


• Ability to provide Level 2/3 technical support and resolve cloud infrastructure and operational issues.
