Job summary

N-SIDE is seeking a Software Engineer - Energy to join our Energy department in Louvain-la-Neuve. You will contribute to the inception, development, and validation of a new optimization platform for grid execution.

You'll collaborate with product owners and analysts, lead backend development with Java and Spring Boot, and help evolve our AI-enabled solutions while mentoring teammates as you grow.

Qualifications

• Master in Computer Science or Bachelor’s with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of Spring Web MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security.
• Fluent in English.
• Interest in software design and AI integration.
• Willingness to mentor junior developers depending on seniority.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development and rapid prototyping for a new grid execution optimization platform.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts and tech lead to gather requirements and design software solutions.
• Contribute to containerization and CI/CD with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo; ensure quality and reliability.
