Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Privacy Legal Counsel to support privacy, data protection and responsible data use for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. You will provide expert legal advice on complex data protection matters across multiple jurisdictions and collaborate with Legal, IT, Security and HR to enable innovation while ensuring compliance.

The role requires a law degree and 4+ years in data protection or related areas, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

Law degree with classic privacy law practice.

Responsibilities

Advise stakeholders on privacy, data protection, and regulatory requirements in the EMEA region.
Monitor GDPR/UK GDPR and ePrivacy developments.
Provide legal guidance on AI, data governance, and digital health initiatives.
Draft, review, and negotiate data processing and data transfer agreements.
Support privacy risk assessments and incident response reviews.
Assist with cross-border data transfers and regulatory notification assessments.
