Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. seeks an Industry Specialist for Defense to shape the EMEA vertical strategy and align Cisco’s IIoT capabilities with defense needs. You will lead cross-functional efforts, engage senior customers, and drive strategic deals across multiple countries.

The role combines domain authority with business development, thought leadership, and pipeline acceleration. Travel across EMEA is expected, and fluency in English is required; other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in defense, national security, public safety, or mission-critical environments.
• Experience with field digital communications, signals, or operational networks.
• Ability to translate requirements into clear business outcomes and technology propositions.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EMEA IIoT Defense Growth Plan with focus on priorities and pipeline health.
• Build pipeline through relationships with defense communities and ecosystem partners.
• Accelerate strategic accounts via discovery, executive engagement, and expansion opportunities.
• Develop repeatable defense use cases and solution blueprints with Cisco engineering.
• Enable Cisco teams to identify and pursue defense opportunities.
• Represent Cisco at defense events and briefings.
• Foster relationships across defense organizations, primes, SI, and public-sector teams.
• Translate market insights into go-to-market recommendations.
• Capture win/loss insights to improve defense positioning.
