Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. seeks a motivated Solution Engineer for its Industrial IoT team in EMEA.

You will partner with Account Executives, deliver technical demonstrations, design solutions, build bills of materials, and run proof of concepts to help customers achieve digital transformation. The role emphasizes customer-facing pre-sales activity, architectural design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to align with customer outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
5+ years of industry-related experience.
Solid understanding of industrial protocols and Purdue model.
Knowledge of Cisco's Industrial Networking, Security and Network Automation.
Experience with MPLS, SD-WAN, WLAN, VPN, etc.
Experience presenting to executive audiences.
Pre-sales experience preferred.
Programming knowledge (Python, C++, Java) and cybersecurity in industrial control.

Responsibilities

Own the technical plan for the territory aligned with the Industrial IoT Account Executive.
Support account teams on opportunities and contribute to the technical account plan.
Deliver demos, PoCs, and value propositions to customers or partners.
Design and apply technical solutions with portfolio SE’s.
Create BOMs and document industry vertical use cases.
Lead workshops and customer events with a solution-architecture approach.
