Job summary

Movu Robotics in Lokeren is seeking an Electromechanical Validation Engineer to define and drive verification and validation for our state‑of‑the‑art intralogistics robots. You will create procedures, test scripts, and documentation to prove the system meets requirements and stakeholder expectations.

You will review procedures, log defects, and lead technical design reviews while collaborating across internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• As a candidate you should have 3–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, automation, or related industries.
• Hands-on design and/or testing of electromechanical products or subsystems is preferred.
• Knowledge of V-cycle/design verification and testing procedures is required.
• Must be proactive, autonomous and a good team player.
• Proficient in English at C1 level or higher and eligible to work in Belgium.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop Verification & Validation procedures, work instructions, test scripts, and other documentation.
• Review test procedures and develop new test benches when needed.
• Document verification & validation results and track defects to closure.
• Recommend corrective actions and obtain stakeholder acceptance.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Manage tasks to meet schedules while ensuring quality.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups, including suppliers.

Job Description

As a Electromechanical Validation Engineer you will:

• Define and develop Verification & Validation procedures, work instructions, test scripts, and other documentation to demonstrate that the system is fit for its purpose and satisfies the stakeholders’ requirements.
• Review test procedures and develop new test benches if required.
• Document verification & validation results.
• Recommend corrective actions and obtain stakeholder acceptance of validation results.
• Log defects and issues found during V&V activities and track to closure.
• Prioritize project tasks to complete them on schedule while maintaining the quality of work.
• Collaborate closely and stay aligned with other groups, both within and external to stow Robotics
• Lead technical design reviews at various stages of the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, Computer Science or related fields.
• 3-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing, automation, machine or aerospace industries.
• Hands-on design and/or testing experience of electronic, mechatronics or electromechanical products, subsystems, or components.
• Knowledge of and experience with V-cycle and testing procedures.
• Autonomous and a communicative team player.
• English is a must (C1 or higher).
• Eligible to work in Belgium.
• Mobile to Movu Robotics HQ in Lokeren daily (no telework).
