Job summary

ENGIE Laborelec in Linkebeek, Belgium, is seeking an Electrical Expert to grow into a SME for MV/HV substations. You will perform lab testing, root-cause analyses, and design reviews, collaborating with cable, transformer, renewable and nuclear teams.

A Master’s in Electrical Engineering is required; junior profiles (trainee or 0–3 years) are welcome. Dutch and English are required, French is a plus; travel within Europe may be needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Junior profile: trainee or up to 3 years of experience.
• Strong interest in MV & HV electrical equipment and substations.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in primary MV/HV substations and equipment.
• Perform root cause analyses and investigations on switchgear.
• Contribute to design reviews for BESS projects and HV lines.
• Carry out laboratory testing, inspections, and assessments.
• Review technical documentation and provide expert opinions.
• Collaborate with cable, transformer, renewable, nuclear teams.
