Role Purpose
The Business Development Director – Belgium will be responsible for driving strategic growth, revenue expansion, and market positioning of the Industrial Autonomy & Engineering Unit in Belgium.
The role focuses on building and scaling IA&E business across Belgian industrial and infrastructure enterprises, including manufacturing, energy & utilities, chemicals, transportation, logistics, and public infrastructure. The position requires a strong blend of market development, executive engagement, deal origination, and ecosystem collaboration, positioning IA&E as a trusted partner for industrial autonomy, digital engineering, and Industry 4.0 transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the Belgium market growth strategy for Industrial Autonomy & Engineering services.
- Identify and develop new growth opportunities across key Belgian industrial sectors.
- Drive market penetration aligned with global IA&E strategy and European regional priorities.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and sustain CXO-level and senior stakeholder relationships with key Belgian customers.
- Lead new logo acquisition and expansion of strategic accounts.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industrial digitalization, autonomy, and engineering transformation.
- Own the end-to-end sales lifecycle for large and complex opportunities:
- Opportunity identification and qualification
- Solution shaping and value articulation
- Commercial structuring, negotiation, and closure
Ecosystem & Partnerships
- Build and leverage local and regional partnerships with:
- Industrial OEMs and EPCs
- Automation and OT technology providers
- Hyperscalers and industrial software partners
- Represent IA&E at industry events, customer forums, and ecosystem engagements in Belgium.
Internal Collaboration & Governance
- Collaborate closely with account teams, solution architects, delivery leaders, and global IA&E stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to commercial, legal, and risk governance frameworks.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue growth and order intake for Belgium
- Qualified sales pipeline and win ratio
- New logo wins and strategic account expansion
- Deal quality, margin, and sustainability
- Client satisfaction and long-term relationship strength
Required Experience & Qualifications
Business Development experience:
IA&E experience: experience in PLM, MES or Product Engineering.
Other experience:experience in IOT, IT-OT-ET landscape, Connected Assets, Data platforms
Vertical and sector experience
Network and partner ecosystem
Professional Experience
- 12+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or account management within:
- Automation, autonomy, or manufacturing technology
- Proven track record of closing large, complex B2B deals with industrial customers.
- Strong understanding of the Belgian industrial and institutional ecosystem.

- French and/or Dutch language skills are strongly preferred
- Based in Brussels, with willingness to travel across Belgium as required
