Job summary

CloudSisters in Belgium is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to design and run CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and optimize container orchestration in AWS and Azure.

You will work in a hybrid setup, two days per week at the office, using Dutch and English to collaborate across teams and with clients; you’ll stay ahead of cloud trends to keep solutions secure and scalable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent DevOps experience.
• Experience with Cloud DevOps and hybrid office setup.
• Proficiency in CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps or AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline.
• Python scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of Azure AKS and/or Amazon EKS.
• IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willing to work in hybrid setup; office two days per week.
• Proficient in Dutch and English.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments.

Job description

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll take on a dual role: actively contributing to the development of a platform for automated managed services, while continuing to support and deliver those services to our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Masterminding rock-solid Cloud DevOps CI/CD pipelines to turbocharge our deployment lifecycle.
• Enhancing Cloud services and fine-tuning our container services and orchestration for maximum impact.
• Driving efficiency through automation in deployment, monitoring, and scaling within both AWS and Azure.
• Setting up and managing environments for clients, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshooting technical issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Promoting teamwork by integrating DevOps methodologies across all departments.
• Upholding security and compliance standards.
• Staying informed on the latest Cloud and DevOps developments and integrating them into our platform and client solutions.

Requirements:

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent DevOps experience.
• You have previous experience with Cloud DevOps.
• Proficiency in CI/CD principles, with practical experience in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps pipelines and/or AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy/CodePipeline.
• Python scripting and automation are your trusty sidekicks.
• You have knowledge of Cloud services and containerization with Azure AKS and/or Amazon EKS
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• You’re willing to work in a hybrid setup and be present at the office an average of two days per week.
• You’re proficient in both Dutch and English.
• You thrive in fast-paced environments and embrace the chaos.
