Tata Consultancy Services Belgium is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and optimize AI/ML solutions, with a focus on Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, RAG, and MLOps.

You will collaborate with data stewards, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable AI solutions, improve translation quality, ensure responsible AI adoption, and drive innovation across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Python and/or R for AI/ML development.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, SpaCy, and NLTK.
• Knowledge of ML algorithms including Neural Networks, SVM, KNN, Naïve Bayes, and Decision Forests.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Fine-tuning, and RAG architectures.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Knowledge of cloud AI platforms including Azure AI Studio, Azure ML, AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker.
• Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and data querying; familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of Responsible AI practices, bias detection, explainability, and fairness.

About the Role

TCS Belgium is looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our growing AI and Data practice. In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and optimize cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions, with a strong focus on Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and MLOps.

You will work closely with data stewards, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable AI solutions, improve machine translation quality, ensure responsible AI adoption, and drive innovation across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, and maintain machine learning and AI models for NLP and Generative AI use cases.
• Build and deploy solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, and AI agent frameworks.
• Integrate generative AI models and APIs into enterprise applications.
• Develop, optimize, and evaluate machine learning algorithms and classifiers.
• Perform data processing, cleansing, validation, and quality assessments for AI/ML initiatives.
• Define and implement data governance, data quality, and bias mitigation strategies.
• Monitor model performance, identify model drift, and initiate retraining processes.
• Implement MLOps practices covering model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Design scalable AI/ML solution architectures aligned with data management principles.
• Conduct studies and developments to enhance Machine Translation (MT) quality and evaluation methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement AI solutions within cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with AI governance standards, data protection regulations, and the EU AI Act.
• Create technical documentation, presentations, and guidelines for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Research emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions that deliver business value.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Python and/or R for AI/ML development.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, SpaCy, and NLTK.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms including:
• Neural Networks
• Support Vector Machines (SVM)
• K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN)
• Naïve Bayes
• Decision Forests
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Fine-tuning, and RAG architectures.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Knowledge of cloud AI platforms including:

• Familiarity with model explainability tools such as SHAP and LIME.
• Understanding of AI security, AI risks, and the EU AI Act.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Machine Translation (MT), computational linguistics, or corpus-based linguistics.
• Experience with MT evaluation methodologies, BLEU scores, and human quality assessment frameworks.
• Knowledge of alignment models and information extraction techniques.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and frameworks.

Certifications (Preferred)
