Job summary

Quarteom in Brussels is seeking a Junior Data Governance Specialist to define the stream's roadmap and lead a high-performing team of data experts, driving enterprise-wide governance and regulatory initiatives.

You will partner with senior leadership to maximize the quality, integrity, and strategic value of core data assets while coordinating data standards, policies, modeling, and compliance across business lines and tribes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics or engineering).
• PhD is considered an advantage.
• Fluent in French, Dutch & English.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overarching vision, strategic direction, and key performance objectives for their designated stream
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of data governance specialists and quality analysts to deliver on stream goals
• Partner with CoE leadership and senior management to steer company-wide data quality, governance, and regulatory initiatives
• Roll out and champion enterprise frameworks covering data standards, policies, modeling, and regulatory compliance across business lines and tribes
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical issues surrounding data protection, compliance, integrity, and quality
• Engage closely with executive stakeholders across business units to elevate the accuracy, trustworthiness, and business value of core data assets

Job Duties

• Define and execute the overarching vision, strategic direction, and key performance objectives for their designated stream

• Act as the primary escalation point for critical issues surrounding data protection, compliance, integrity, and quality
• Engage closely with executive stakeholders across business units to elevate the accuracy, trustworthiness, and business value of core data assets

Knowledge and Skills

• You have at least a Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics or engineering (a PhD is considered an advantage)
• Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial knowledge of analytics are also encouraged to apply
